HORRIFIC ACCIDENT: A WOMAN DIED AFTER SHE FELL INTO A MEAT GRINDER AT WORK

woman died after she fell into a meat grinder at work

The Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the horrific accident.

Jill Greninger, a 35-year-old woman from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, died on Monday while she was working at a meat processing plant in northern Pennsylvania. Greninger was standing next to the meat grinder before she dramatically fell into the huge machine.

Lycoming County Coroner, Charles Kiessling Jr., told a news agency that she was working at Economy Locker Storage Company around noon when she "tragically either fell or was drawn into" an industrial-sized meat grinder.

According to Kiessling, the local Muncy Fire Department and EMS personnel were forced to disassemble the grinder upon arriving at the scene. He added that this action had taken more than two hours before they removed the corpse of the poor lady.

Community members of Lycoming County, which has a population of a little over 2,400, are in shock. A dweller told an ABC News reporter that he had lived in there since 1971 and the store had been there also; yet, he had never heard of anything horrible like this incident before.

The Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration confirmed to the same source that they are investigating the awful incident for any workplace negligence; however, they cannot comment on an active investigation until it is concluded.
