She Has Got Killed at the Synagogue by a Gunman While Saving the Life of a Rabbi

A gunman opened fire in a synagogue in California and, therefore, killed one woman and injured three others. Lori Kaye, the only murderee, selflessly jumped between the shooter and the rabbi, according to CNN.
The 60-year-old lady was shot at the synagogue and died at a nearby hospital. In addition to Kaye, at least three others were wounded in the synagogue shooting, on Saturday, at Congregation Chabad in Poway in the north of San Diego.
Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein, 57 years, was shot in the hands when Kaye stepped between him and the gunman. According to the doctor at the Palomar Medical Center, the rabbi suffered what looked like defensive wounds to both of his index fingers.
Kaye was actually at the synagogue to say a prayer for her mother. Roneet Lev, a member of the congregation, and Kaye's friend of 25 years was not at the synagogue but told CNN that she rushed to the hospital when she heard about the shooting.
As Goldstein was being wheeled into surgery, he told Lev how her friend bravely saved his life, she confirmed to CNN. Kaye had attended services Saturday to say a Kaddish prayer for her mother, who died in November, added Lev.
Kaye's husband who is a physician headed for the scene to perform CPR once he had heard about the San Diego shooting. When he realized that his wife passed away, he fainted, as Lev asserted.
Lev said that Kaye did not die a senseless death; she raised the problem they have with anti-Semitism and died bringing good to this world. Indeed, Lev cinders her friend as an angel on the earth.
Kaye, a native of San Diego, leaves with a husband and a 22-year-old daughter, Lev said.

    The Other Injured Victims
    Noya Dahan
Noya of only 9-year-old was at the synagogue with her two sisters and was injured by shrapnel, her father said. The girl was wounded in one leg and in the face and was transferred to a children's hospital. The Jews’ community is obviously shocked by this scary incident.
Noya’s family moved from Israel eight years ago looking forward to living in a safer community after both her father and her mother were injured by rockets. Israel Dahan, Noya’s father, confirmed that they were under the impression that everything was good there; yet, today, they noticed that was not even closer.
The fathers said that Swastikas was drawn on his home, a few years ago.  Now, his children do not want to live in The United States anymore. After the Poway shooting, he added, they asked him one question: “Why we are staying here?”
    Almog Peretz
Almog Peretz of 34-year-old is Dahan's brother-in-law. He was injured by shrapnel while trying to protect his niece, the girl's father said. Peretz was paying his brother-in-law visit from Israel for Passover, one of the holiest Jewish celebrations. He was attending Saturday service with his family when the synagogue shooting happened, Lev said.
Lev also asserted that when the gunman started shooting at people, Peretz opened the large doors and cried out asking children to leave the place through the doors, and hide out in the nearest houses around the synagogue.
About 45 minutes after the synagogue shooting, two of those children were missing since they were still hiding in one of the houses. Peretz told Lev if the shooter's rifle did not jam, the children would have been shot.
    Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein
The doctor confirmed that the 57-year-old rabbi might, unfortunately, lose one of his indexes fingers.
Congregation member Minoo Anvari, who is a refugee from Iran, said that her husband witnessed the shooting; and confirmed that the rabbi called for unity and prayed for peace even after getting shot. He said“We are united,” asserted Anvari.
